Looking forward kinda keeps people in their bubbles, in their chairs, etc. — just waiting for Jesus to come back and sort it all out for us and give us that mansion in heaven.
When maybe He’s been waiting on us to get a culture of heaven established here on earth — so we won’t have such a culture shock. We’d need to learn to swim before being plopped out in the ocean (you know?).
Instead of thinking we’ll just get it all figured out after we die [or after Jesus returns, etc.] — I think we’re supposed to be doing it all here — otherwise we’ll drown when we’re immersed in heaven in the future.
